Voices of Our Patients

What Makes Mohs Surgery Different & Better

Mohs micrographic surgery is the most effective treatment available, and here’s why:

The Highest Cure Rates Available

99% Cure Rate

for primary basal cell carcinomas (BCC) / squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) and 94% cure rate for recurrent skin cancers.

Smaller Surgical Wounds

by removing only the cancerous tissue and preserving as much healthy skin as possible.

Immediate Results

with tissue examined under a microscope during the procedure to ensure all cancer is removed before you leave.

Outpatient Procedure

with local anesthesia, allowing you to return home the same day.

Gold Standard

for high-risk skin cancers, skin cancers in cosmetically sensitive areas, and recurrent tumors. Superior to conventional excision, radiation, or other treatments.

The Mohs Procedure:
What to Expect

We’ll discuss your diagnosis, review the surgical plan, answer all your questions, and ensure you feel completely informed and comfortable. We’ll photograph and map the surgical site for our records.

This procedure involves removing the visible skin cancer and a thin layer of surrounding tissue under local anesthesia. The removed tissue is carefully mapped, processed, and examined under a microscope to check all margins. If any cancer remains, only the affected areas are re-excised in additional stages, with short waiting periods between them. Once all margins are clear, reconstruction is performed using the most appropriate method—such as side-to-side closure, local flaps, or skin grafts—to restore both function and appearance.

Most patients return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, pain is typically minimal and well-controlled, and we’re available to answer questions throughout your recovery.

Our Commitment: Healing, Restoring, Empowering

We heal your cancer. We restore your confidence. We empower you with knowledge about prevention and surveillance.

We recognize that skin is everyday; it’s how you present yourself to the world and how you experience the world around you. When skin cancer threatens that, we don’t just treat the disease. We preserve your identity, protect your confidence, and ensure you can get back to living your life.

We're not just treating a diagnosis. We're treating you.
